The Vons Foundation supports charitable programs that improve the quality of life in the communities where we work and live, advocating the philanthropic aims and ideals of Vons employees.
Vons Foundation sponsors Back to School Distribution
The Vons Foundation once again sponsored the Foothill Unity Center's annual Back-to-School distribution program. This year, the Foothill Unity Center provided approximately 1,500 local children with clothes, school supplies, and haircutsSince 2002, The Vons Foundation has donated a total of $50,000 to support this program.
Located in Monrovia, The Foothill Unity Center serves the communities of Monrovia, Arcadia, Sierra Madre, Bradbury and Duarte and provides food, clothing, shelter vouchers, and referrals to low income families.
